Thanks for the nice review! Wish I'd known before I left for Honolulu 3 weeks ago. I would have dropped in to your library on my way to Sydney.

TO GO OR NOT TO GO THAT IS THE QUESTION
Since travel is on our minds these days, I have a 2-week trip planned for May, leaving with my husband from Ft. Lauderdale and sailing to Spain and Portugal and returning via Aer Lingus from Barcelona to Dublin, Boston and back to San Francisco. I love ships, I love the long lazy days at sea. I love wandering around foreign ports, taking local buses and trains to old bazaars or crumbling fortresses. I once traveled the world working as a translator aboard a hospital ship. Most recently I've been teaching writing classes on cruise ships. This trip is just for fun or so I thought until that volcano (Eyjafjallajokull) in Iceland blew and covered the air space over Europe with ash and has shut down all air traffic in Europe. So what to do? Cancel now and recoup some of the money? Take a chance and hope the ash is blowing in another direction by the end of May or the volcano is taking a well-deserved rest? Or plan to spend the following weeks, months or a year or two on a beach in the south of Spain communicating with my editors from an Internet Cafe. Isn't there something in our contracts about Forces of Nature?
